Submit your case study for Obal roku Summit 2026

Introducing a new pack is not enough. Show what problem it solved and what it specifically delivered to the customer.

Two exceptional case studies will be selected for the Obal roku Summit 2026 programme:

RETAIL

a collaboration in the retail sector

INDUSTRY

a collaboration in the industrial sector

We are looking for implemented projects created through genuine collaboration between a supplier and a customer. These are not classic corporate or product presentations. The deciding factors will be the quality of the solution, its implementation in practice and credibly documented results.

The selected case studies will be presented by their representatives on 15 October 2026 in the expert programme of the Obal roku Summit at Aquapalace Hotel Prague.

What projects we are looking for

You can submit a project that:

  • was implemented or verified in real operations;
  • solved a specific customer problem;
  • clearly describes the original state and the proposed solution;
  • documents a before-and-after comparison;
  • includes at least one measurable benefit;
  • was created in collaboration between the customer and the supplier;
  • has the customer's consent to submit the stated data.

Results may include, for example, savings in costs, material or time, reduced damage and complaints, increased productivity or sales, better use of transport capacity, improved ergonomics or a demonstrable environmental benefit.

If absolute business figures are confidential, results can be expressed as percentages or indexes. However, it must be clear what baseline they are based on and how they were calculated.

What the presentation must include

Prepare a presentation of no more than 10 slides and include:

  1. 01project name and the companies involved;
  2. 02the roles of the customer and the supplier;
  3. 03the initial problem and original state;
  4. 04the proposed packaging solution;
  5. 05the testing process and implementation in practice;
  6. 06measurable results and how they were calculated;
  7. 07the benefit for the customer and the supply chain;
  8. 08environmental impacts and any trade-offs;
  9. 09options for further use or scaling of the solution;
  10. 10the customer's confirmation that the information provided is accurate.

Evaluation criteria

The case studies will be assessed by an expert jury composed of members of the Obal roku competition jury. Each criterion will be rated on a scale of 1 to 5 points.

  • Clarity of the initial problem and documentation of the original state
  • Degree of innovation
  • Functionality, technical execution and regulatory compliance
  • Measurable benefit for the customer
  • Sustainability and impact on the supply chain
  • Feasibility of implementation, scalability and transferability
  • Credibility of the submitted data and genuine customer involvement

The greatest weight is given to a demonstrable benefit for the customer. This may include, for example, savings in costs, material or time, reduced damage and complaints, increased productivity, better use of transport capacity, increased sales or another verifiable business, operational or environmental result.

Neither the visual polish of the presentation nor speaking performance will be evaluated separately. The deciding factors will be the quality of the implemented project, the credibility of the submitted data and the ability to demonstrate the difference between the original and the resulting state.

The jury will select one case study from the retail sector and one from the industrial sector. If no submitted project in a given sector reaches the appropriate professional level, the jury may choose not to select a case study in that sector.
